Jason Baab joined Melissa Graham-Hurd & Associates, LLC at the start of 2025. Prior to joining MGH, he served as a junior partner at Heydorn & Crull in Cuyahoga Falls, where he earned a reputation for his client-focused and compassionate approach, practicing in bankruptcy law (Chapters 7 and 13), wills, trusts, estate administration, and family law.
A Tampa, Florida native, Jason spent much of his youth immersed in outdoor adventures, such as canoeing the Chassahowitzka and Hillsborough Rivers, hiking sections of the Appalachian Trail, and tinkering with his cherished 1987 Chevy Camaro. Initially pursuing a degree in Anthropology at the University of South Florida, Jason’s path took an entrepreneurial turn when he paused his studies to open Heroes Haven Comics in 2008. Although the store was short-lived, the experience ignited his resilience and determination, ultimately leading him to complete a bachelor’s degree in Business and Organizational Communication, with a minor in Anthropology, in 2016.
Jason’s background in entrepreneurship and customer service gives him a unique perspective in the legal field, enabling him to connect with clients on a personal level while crafting innovative solutions to meet their needs. His empathetic approach and problem-solving mindset make him particularly effective in family law, where understanding and collaboration are key.
In 2019, Jason relocated with his wife and son to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, drawn by the area’s vibrant culture, access to outdoor activities, and strong sense of community. The move allowed his family to enjoy seasonal weather, local farmers’ markets, and a robust brewery scene while setting down roots—both figuratively and literally, as Jason and his wife are avid gardeners. He particularly enjoys cultivating hops and tomatoes.
When he’s not assisting clients, Jason can be found playing board games, taking road trips, or experimenting with new home brewing recipes. His passion for community and creative problem-solving enriches both his personal and professional life, making him a valuable asset to MGH & Associates.
